Move with the energy of a team and the focus of Personal Training. Our Small Group Personal Training sessions blend personalized coaching with the motivation of 2–4 people working together. Begin with our 3-Session Intro to Train, or step directly into Small Group Personal Training sessions. Whether you’re building form, refining strength, or finding joy in movement again, your trainer will meet you where you are, every step (and rep) of the way.
THREE SESSION INTRO TO TRAIN
This three-session small group series introduces you to foundational movement patterns through our structured PUSH, PULL, and LEGS sessions on the schedule. These sessions are designed to help you build confidence, move safely, and feel grounded in the basics. Ideal for those preparing to join Train classes or looking to explore personal training in a low-pressure, educational way.

Focus on upper body strength and stability. You’ll practice the plank, push-up, and overhead press, learning proper technique and alignment to build confidence and control in pressing movements.

Develop pulling strength and core engagement. This session covers the deadlift and bent-over row, teaching safe mechanics while strengthening your posterior chain and improving overall functional movement.

Strengthen and stabilize your lower body. You’ll practice squats and lunges, mastering form and technique to build strong, balanced legs while preparing for Train classes.
Investment: $250 total (three-session package only — equivalent to $75 per session).
Ongoing Personal Training offers a fully customized program built just for you: your goals, your body, your pace. With consistent coaching, personalized progressions, and long-term support, this option is designed for deeper strength development, accountability, and intentional growth. Your training evolves as you do.

LEA COULTAS (she/her) | trainer

Lea is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer with a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Certification, along with Prenatal and Kids & Teens Yoga training. She began her teaching journey through a long-term mentorship in a clinical setting, where she taught Gentle and Chair Yoga to seniors for four years and assisted in yoga and meditation workshops. Lea later launched her own virtual Gentle Yoga and Movement program, brought Yoga Dance to in-person classes in 2021, and continues to teach Seniors Yoga weekly. She began teaching Rhythmic Train in May 2025.

Lea specializes in working with beginners and those who feel intimidated by exercise, helping clients move in ways that feel safe, sustainable, and empowering. Her goal is to help people recognize how strong they already are while building consistency, trust in their bodies, and steady progress over time.

For Lea, music is everything. As a DJ, she brings a true passion for sound and vibe into every session, carefully curating playlists that make movement feel fun, expressive, and energizing. In and outside the studio, Lea is known for her warmth, compassion, and genuine excitement for seeing others succeed.
SARAH HISCOCK (she/THEY) | trainer +

Sarah is a certified Personal Training Specialist through CanFitPro with over 10 years of coaching experience across a wide range of movement styles, from high-intensity CrossFit to calming yoga. They studied Sports and Physical Activity Leadership while competing as a varsity basketball athlete, combining strong academic foundations with hands-on athletic experience. Sarah continues to invest in yearly continuing education and ongoing professional development.

Sarah takes a thoughtful, whole-person approach to training with experience supporting postural alignment, muscular imbalances, mobility, myofascial release, and long-term athlete development. Their work is rooted in inclusion, accessibility, and creating spaces where clients feel supported, capable, and empowered. Sarah meets people where they are and helps them build a positive, sustainable relationship with movement.

Sarah is a proud member of the queer community and a passionate mental health advocate. They dedicate their time to volunteering and fundraising in support of mental health initiatives, bringing compassion, care, and purpose into both their coaching and community work.
MEL LAPIERRE (she/her) | trainer+

Mel completed her Bachelor’s Degree with Honours at Memorial University in 2020 through the co-operative education program, gaining hands-on experience in physiotherapy clinics and return-to-work programs alongside occupational therapists. She worked for two years as a Registered Kinesiologist with a wide range of clients and brings over four years of experience as a spin instructor. She began teaching Train in February 2025 and is currently in her third year of medical school at MUN. Mel is excited to return to her roots as a Kinesiologist through her work with Studio VERSŌ.

Mel’s training style is grounded in honouring each client’s individual experience and personal goals. She prioritizes proper form, time under tension, and intentional progress while ensuring movement feels empowering, confidence-building, and enjoyable. Her goal is for clients to feel strong, capable, and supported through every stage of their training.

Outside of medical school and the studio, Mel loves reading, baking, listening to music, and going for sunset drives. She finds joy in small moments and celebrates the small wins just as much as the big ones.
MORGAN HICKEY (she/her) | trainer

Morgan has completed her ISSA Certified Personal Trainer certification and brings over three years of experience leading group strength and cardiovascular fitness classes. With more than six years working in the movement industry, she’s developed a strong understanding of how to help people move well, feel good, and build confidence through thoughtful coaching and effective programming.

Morgan’s training style is empowering and never punishing. She focuses on helping clients listen to their bodies, knowing when to push and when to ease off, to support long-term consistency, confidence, and strength. Her sessions are designed to be fun, uplifting, and effective, leaving clients feeling stronger both physically and mentally.

For Morgan, a great playlist is essential and her sessions always include at least one early 2000s throwback to set the vibe. Outside the gym, you will usually find her out on a walk with her dog Finn or curating her next workout playlist.
Kelli Slaney (she/her) | trainer

Kelli holds a Bachelor of Recreation and is a Level 2 coach through the National Coaching Certification Program and an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. She has two years of experience teaching Spin, Train, and Train + Row, and a strong athletic background as a former varsity athlete at Memorial University. Kelli competed nationally for Team Newfoundland for four years and coached basketball for 10 years before becoming a mom.

Her work emphasizes overall wellness and sustainability, and she is especially passionate about supporting pre- and postpartum clients as they return to movement in a safe, welcoming way.

Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and brings over five years of experience across strength and conditioning, group fitness, and personal training. Her background allows her to support clients with a strong foundation in movement mechanics, strength development, and safe progression.

Evan’s approach is grounded in mastering the basics. She focuses on proper movement mechanics, progressive overload, and functional strength that carries over into everyday life. Her sessions are intentional, supportive, and designed to help clients build confidence and strength in a way that feels sustainable and empowering.

When Evan isn’t in the gym, you will likely find her out walking dogs, relaxing at her cabin with family, or listening to country music. She brings that same grounded, easygoing energy into her sessions, creating an environment that feels comfortable, focused, and encouraging.

All Small Group Training sessions are available to book through the VERSŌ app or your online account. Sessions open for booking at 1:00 PM every Monday for the following week. You’ll need an active pass or package to reserve your spot.
Trainers may also pre-book you if you’d like to train at a recurring time each week — simply discuss this in person with your trainer.

We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel, please do so through the VERSŌ app or your online account at least 8 hours before your session.
Cancellations made after the 8-hour window: The session pass will be forfeited.
No-shows: The session pass will be forfeited and a $40 no-show fee will apply.
We appreciate your understanding — this policy ensures your trainer’s time is respected and allows another client the chance to book the spot.

Absolutely! Small Group Training is designed for 2–4 participants and can be a great way to stay consistent and motivated. You can coordinate with friends to book into the same session or choose from available times that fit your schedules.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and bring a water bottle and clean indoor sneakers. We’ll provide all the equipment you need.
If it’s your first session, please arrive 15 minutes early so your trainer can review your intake form and set you up for success.

Definitely. Small Group Training is tailored to your individual needs and starting point. Your trainer will guide you through form, modifications, and progressive challenges, helping you build strength and confidence safely and effectively.

The answer varies from person to person depending on factors such as activity level, goals, and recovery needs. During your first session, your trainer will help you find a rhythm that aligns with your goals, preferences, and lifestyle.

You can train with different trainers as long as spots are available. Trainers document your plan and progress so another trainer can pick up right where you left off.
Please note that Trainer and Trainer + are separate packages. If you purchase sessions with a Trainer, you can only book with Trainers. If you purchase Trainer +, you can book with Trainer +.

No. The Personal Training room is reserved exclusively for scheduled personal training sessions to ensure safety, privacy, and a consistent experience for all clients.

Absolutely! Showers, hot tools, coffee, and more are available for your enjoyment before or after your session.
